For a Long Day at the Office
This little gem will keep you entertained for hours. Send the mail boy for some coffee, and sit back relax, and pretend you are looking at a flow chart, or investigating hedge funds.

"He's going 180 in the Lamborghini of his dreams"

If I ever had money to literally burn on something, it would be this: The Lamborghini Murcielago. Named after a famous Bull, also their company logo (Ferruccio Lamborghini was a taurus- all cars are named after bulls, matadors, or some aspect of bullfighting), Murcielago simply would not die in the ring. His life was spared because of his passion and verve. I have always had a fascination with Lamborghini. I used to have this white lamborghini micro-machine (remember those) that was my favorite. I think it might have something to do with the gull-wing doors.
But, if I ever have a desposible income that would allow for this... well...

Dogs, and lions?
You all know I love animals GALORE, but here are two of my favorite things I have found today while sitting in Mu.Shoe being bored, aside from reading stories on islam and the danish embassadors leaving Syria, indonesia, etc. I will do a post on isalmic art sometime, i think it is really cool stuff, it is all script, so it says something, but more another time.

HERE:

this Little guy is a call of fur, does he have legs, or does he roll around?

These two are great. Cairo, the Italian Mastiff puppy was introduced to 10 week old Koza, a lion cub whose twin died at the San Diego Wild animal park. Since there were no other cubs at the Zoo/park to play with (remember Lions are social animals) Cairo was considered the next best thing.

TOO CUTE

Hawaiian Wonder Foods
The Hawaiian Nutella:

Aside from Pua'a (pig roasted in a pit), the coconut and pineapple, Taro is a symbol of Hawaiian culture. It also happens to be one of my favorite foods. (Tim likes it too). Most people never develop a taste for this sour/sweet purple-ish root. The Hawaiians and I, on the other hand, have a fascination with it.

The Taro, with its hairy fibrous coating on its root, is poisonous raw, so don't just go gnawing into it. I just read somewhere that when peeling sometimes the juices irritate the skin.

The main derivative of Taro is Poi, a purple paste, that was and is an essential dietary need for many Polynesians in a land devoid of potatoes and grains. This tuber is also a staple of diets in the Caribbean and Africa.

"Poi is made from cooked taro root that is pounded to a smooth paste, then mixed with water, the amount depending on how the poi is to be served. Since poi is eaten with the fingers, its consistency is measured accordingly and ranges from "one-finger" (the thickest) to "three-finger" (the thinnest). It is generally fermented for several days, which gives it a sour, acidic taste. "- cook's encyclopedia

supposedly I can purchase it at Asian or Latin grocery stores, but I have yet to find it. Delicious, on everything. The Hawaiian Nutella.

Seahawks
OK. i conceed to the fact that we lost the Super bowl. I am not happy about it for one reason, there were some shoddy calls. Shall i Recite:

*note. We TiVo-ed the game, so we could go back and look at said shoddy calls
*as dad said: the MVP should goto the officials, inflected with the tone of Sacr 3

Our first touchdown, that was reversed due to a call of holding on the offense: In replay you see (i think it was Jerivicius) hand touch a steeler before he caught the ball. Holding should nto have been called, the steelers body didn't move an inch, he didn't push him, he merely was spot checking and pivoting. BAD CALL

2) I'll give them that touch down where rothlesberger didn't break the goal line, because it was close, but that callshould have been reversed.

3)There was blatant pass interference on the steelers part on one catch going to Jerivicius, where it was three on one, two of the guys, the one who finally knocked it away, weren't going fot the ball, but J's head. BAD CALL

4) I believe in the 4th quarter there was blatant holding on Pruit, the damn steeler grabbed his face mask!!!! WHAT THE HELL REF. IT was not called. Absolute BS

So fine the Steelers won, they got lucky, we could have played better-- we ahve never been to the super bowl before, so good for us, but there is one thing i absolutely hate, and that is unfair/biased ref-ing.

Life is not fair, but that doesn't mean i can't be pissed about it. I would like to punch Cowhles in his smug face.

anyway, good job hawks, we still love you, just a bummer there were so many bad calls.

This should win an award

There is a reason supermodles don't make good politicians, they can't give us pictures like this.

Pandas!!

I have often been equated to a panda. Lazy, adorable, eats all day, relatively tame but with sharp teeth.

The US is lucky this year in that two new baby pandas were born in zoos. One in DC and the other at the San Diego Zoo. Su Lin "a little bit of something cute" is in SD, and Tai Shan, a male cub in DC. The photo is of Tai.

When I was little, I loved pandas. I had a WWF (not wrestling) video about pandas in China, and I would watch it all the time.

A member of the raccoon family (kind of-- DNA testing shows that they are closer to bears, while their cousins, the red panda, are closer to raccoons), these 'cat-bears' (in chinese) eat mostly bamboo, but like any good raccoon, will rifle through your garbage as well and eat your flowers and small rodents that they happen to catch.

you can watch them live on panda cams! San Diego Zoo
and the National Zoo in DC
